How to Bid

Arteify auctions are open to all registered bidders worldwide. Follow these steps to participate in any live auction.

1. Register & Verify Your Account

Create a free Arteify account at arteify.com/register. Once registered, complete identity verification to unlock bidding. Verification is a one-time process and takes under five minutes.

2. Browse Auction Lots

Visit the Auctions section to explore all upcoming and live lots. Each lot page shows the estimate, condition report, provenance, and current bid. You can save lots to your wishlist to track them before bidding opens.

3. Understand the Estimate & Reserve

Each lot carries a pre-sale estimate (low–high range) and a confidential reserve price. The reserve is the minimum price at which the lot will sell. If bidding does not reach the reserve, the lot is passed.

4. Place Your Bid

On the lot page, enter your maximum bid and click Place Bid. Arteify uses an automatic bidding system — the platform bids on your behalf up to your maximum, so you need not monitor the auction in real time. You will be notified by email if you are outbid.

5. Proxy & Maximum Bids

A proxy bid is your confidential maximum. The system increments bids automatically at the lowest possible amount needed to keep you in the lead. Your full maximum is never revealed to other bidders.

6. Winning the Lot

If you are the highest bidder when the auction closes, you will receive a winning notification by email. Return to the lot page and click Complete Payment to pay securely via WooCommerce checkout. Payment must be completed within 48 hours of the auction closing.

7. Buyer’s Premium & VAT

A buyer’s premium is added to the hammer price. The financial breakdown — including premium and applicable VAT — is displayed on the lot page before you bid. No hidden charges.

8. Shipping & Logistics

After payment, our logistics team will contact you to arrange shipping, collection, or viewing room pick-up. Worldwide delivery is available on all lots.
