Our story

Built to remove the barriers.

Arteify began with a simple frustration: the art and antiques world has too many barriers. Traditional auction houses layer a seller’s commission on top of a buyer’s premium — a combined cost that quietly reduces what makers and dealers earn while inflating what collectors pay.

We set out to change that. Not a gallery, and not a generic marketplace, but a platform purpose-built for the way people discover, enquire, bid, buy, sell and trade art and antiques in the UK and beyond.

We are a young company, and we will not pretend otherwise. What we have is a clear vision, a carefully considered platform, and the conviction that the art market deserves to be more open, more transparent, and more affordable for everyone in it.

The art market has historically rewarded the platforms at the centre, not always the people who create, sell and collect. We built Arteify around a different principle — and we publish exactly what it costs.

One simple, published fee structure — shown clearly before you bid, with no hidden charges. Traditional auction houses layer a seller’s commission on top of a buyer’s premium, which together run considerably higher. ARR (artist’s resale right), VAT and shipping are passed through at cost. Rates shown as at July 2026.
