Arteify runs two ways to sell: a fixed-price catalogue and timed online auctions. You choose which suits a piece. The terms are the same either way, and you keep control of your reserve.
What it costs
8% seller commission on the sale price, with no VAT currently charged (Arteify is not VAT-registered). There is no listing fee and no charge for a piece that does not sell.
What the buyer pays
A 10% buyer’s premium with no VAT currently charged on it, shown to them before they commit. Together the platform takes 18% across both sides.
Your reserve is yours
Set a reserve on any auction lot. If it is not met the lot does not sell, and it moves automatically into an aftersale window where buyers can still purchase it at the reserve.

How it works
- 1 Apply Tell us who you are and what you sell. We verify identity and trading history before approving an account — this is what lets buyers trust the catalogue.
- 2 List Catalogue each piece with images, medium, dimensions, date and condition. Provenance and certificates can be attached where you have them.
- 3 Get paid Once the buyer has paid, your commission is deducted and the balance is recorded for payout. Every sale is itemised: hammer, commission, and any resale royalty.
What you can rely on
- Every seller is verified by Arteify before a single piece goes live.
- Condition notes and provenance are available on request for any piece.
- A bid in the final 5 minutes extends the lot by another 5, so nothing can be won in the last second.
- Packing and insured delivery are arranged after the sale and invoiced by the logistics provider you choose.
Questions
Do I need to send you the piece?
No. Arteify does not hold stock. The work stays with you until it sells, then goes directly to the buyer via the logistics provider you choose.
What about Artist’s Resale Right?
Where ARR applies to a qualifying resale, the royalty is collected and paid to the artist through their collecting society. It is shown separately and is never taken from your commission.
Can I sell at auction and fixed price?
Yes. Both run from the same account and the same terms apply.
